Frequently Asked Questions
Got a question? Check some of our FAQs below to see if it's already been answered or use the form at the bottom of the page to get in touch.
Q: How do I register?
Q: How old must I be to enter the event?
A: Anyone can take part in The Virtual Edition. Runners aged 13-16 years old must ask an adult to enter on their behalf using the registration form - including £10 race entry fee. We recommend that anyone under the age of 16 on race day is supervised by a parent/guardian throughout the event.
NB: Anyone 12 or under can join the event for free and we encourage everyone to fundraise to support the Chilterns MS Centre.
Q: How much do I need to fundraise for the event?
A: We're asking runners to commit to raising at least £100 each as part of this event which will go towards the work of the Chilterns MS Centre. Set up your fundraising page in a few clicks using JustGiving. We'll also send you a fundraising pack with lots of tips, as well as giving you lots of encouragement throughout your event.
Q: Is there a set route for the event?
A: For the in-person event we will have a set route with volunteer marshals at certain points, If joining the event virtually you decide the route. Please check local and national guidelines at the time of your run. If you need a hand, fill in the form below to ask for support.
Q: Will first aid available?
A: As the event is virtual we are unable to provide any first aid on the day. Runners are solely responsible for their safety (and that of any child participant/s they are supervising) throughout this virtual challenge. For the in-person event we will have first-aid.
Q: How can I track my time for the event?
A: RunKeeper, Nike and Strava are a few apps that can track your time and route. We suggest using Strava to track your activity which also links to our online giving platform, JustGiving.
