Frequently Asked Questions

Got a question? Check some of our FAQs below to seeif it's already been answered or use the form at the bottom of the page to get in touch.

Q: How do I register?

A: Visit the registration page here and use one form per entry. Once your details have been filled in and payment complete, a member of the fundraising team will be in contact to welcome you to the team.

Q: How old must I be to enter the event?

A: Anyone can take part in Run Prestwood: The Virtual Edition. Runners aged 13-16 years old must ask an adult to enter on their behalf using the registration form - including £10 race entry fee. We recommend that anyone under the age of 16 on race day is supervised by a parent/guardian throughout the event.

NB: Anyone 12 or under can join the event for free and we encourage everyone to fundraise to support the Chilterns MS Centre.

Q: How much do I need to fundraise for the event?

A: We're asking runners to commit to raising at least £100 each as part of this event which will go towards the work of the Chilterns MS Centre. Set up your fundraising page in a few clicks using JustGiving. We'll also send you a fundraising pack with lots of tips, as well as giving you lots of encouragement throughout your event.

Q: Is there a set route for the event?

A: No, you can run a route of your choice over the weekend of 29-31 May. Please check local and national guidelines at the time of your run. If you need a hand, fill in the form below to ask for support.

Q: Will first aid available?

A: As the event is virtual we are unable to provide any first aid on the day. Runners are solely responsible for their safety (and that of any child participant/s they are supervising) throughout this virtual challenge.

Q: How can I track my time for the event?

A: RunKeeper, Nike and Strava are a few apps that can track your time and route. We suggest using Strava to track your activity which also links to our online giving platform, JustGiving.

Q: When do I need to submit my time to Chilterns MS Centre?

A: You can either send a screenshot of your finishing time, or free type an email with your race time to the team here before 12noon Tuesday 1 June. We have a prize for first place in each of the distances. Please note this is not a necessity and you do not have to submit your time.

Q: How will the Chilterns MS Centre use my details?

A: Details you supply on the registration form will be added to our database and used to contact you regarding this event. The Chilterns MS Centre promises to respect the personal data you share with us. To view our full privacy policy please click here.
