The Virtual Edition

Welcome to The Virtual Edition of Run Prestwood, after a long break, our event is back bigger and better than ever and we are excited to welcome you along.

What is it?

Run Prestwood by tradition is a road race that has taken place in the village of Prestwood since 1993. The event started as a 10k race in association with a local leisure centre and has gone on to host a 5k, fun run and children's obstacle race.

Each year, hundreds of runners flock to Prestwood to run in the prestigious event. Working on their personal best timings, putting their training to the test or simply doing it for fun.

In collaboration with the Rotary Club of Great Missenden and District and the Chilterns MS Centre; thousand of pounds has been raised by runners which supports local people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) through life-enhancing treatment. From 2013 the local charity and Rotary Club have worked in partnership to deliver the best race experience for a kind-hearted community.

What's new for 2021?

This year the pandemic means we cannot run the event as a single road race.  This time it's virtual! Choose from 5k,10k or new for The Virtual Edition, 15k.

When you're ready complete your registration by selecting your chosen distance and pay your registration fee.

This event will take place over the May Bank Holiday, 29-31 so you can pick the date that works for you - or run on all three days!

Anyone can take part by running, walking or wheeling the distance with a prize for the highest fundraiser, first and second place (in each distance) and a medal for everyone who takes part.

As well as your own running vest, each participant will receive a guide to fundraising, an invitation to a private online running community and exclusive video top tips from the Chilterns MS Centre's team of physiotherapists and dietician to help you prepare for race-day. Plus so much more!

Why should I take part?

Now more than ever the Chilterns MS Centre is needed by its members. As well as physical therapies, the Centre offers mental wellbeing support which has seen an increase in demand since the pandemic began.

All fundraising from the event goes directly to the Centre to maintain the services offered to its members whenever they need them.
